Who’s Left?

May 22, 2008

This I have to see: Pearl Jam, Flaming Lips and…Foo Fighters…will play Who songs in honor of the greatest band there ever was for some VH-1 thingee. Really? Foo Fighters? That should be…interesting. Anyway, The Who themselves, as they are, will play too, so that tops it off with a cherry. Pretty sweet. Cable TV, huh?

I’ve been watching a bit of the VH1 classic of late and it is a kick-ass channel. They played that new Who mover, not as good as The Kids are Alright of course, the Pixies doc, which was very good, and I know you won’t care, but a great special on British Steel, the classic Judas Priest album. There’s good shows on it every day.

I watched a little cable over the weekend in MI. Jools Holland Show was cool, not sure what channel that was, but lots of music. Ended up watching Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer on IFC. Pretty brutal!

Hm, I still need to see that new Who doc … wonder what song The Lips are planning to pull out.

Pearl Jam should just do all of Quadrophenia.
